Position Overview: We are seeking proactive and detail-oriented individuals to join our hospitality team as Bar Backs. The Bar Back at Flyfish Club assists the bartenders with various tasks, including restocking supplies, preparing garnishes, and maintaining cleanliness in the bar area. This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic and upscale environment.

Responsibilities:

• Assist bartenders with the setup and breakdown of the bar area, including stocking supplies, ice, glassware, and garnishes.
• Prepare and replenish garnishes, fruit trays, and other bar essentials to ensure efficient service.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization behind the bar, including cleaning surfaces, washing glassware, and disposing of waste.
• Retrieve and stock beer, wine, and liquor inventory as needed, ensuring proper rotation and storage of products.
• Monitor ice levels and replenish ice bins as necessary to ensure continuous availability for drinks.
• Assist with the operation of the dishwasher and ensure that glassware is cleaned and polished to standards.
• Dispose of empty bottles, cans, and other recyclables in designated containers, maintaining a tidy workspace.
• Provide support to bartenders during peak service periods, including helping to fulfill drink orders and communicating guest requests.
• Uphold sanitation and safety standards in compliance with health regulations, including proper handling and storage of food and beverage items.
• Assist with other duties as needed to support the operations of the restaurant and social club.

Requirements:

• Previous experience as a Bar Back or in a similar support role in a bar or restaurant environment is preferred but not required.
• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn, with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Physical stamina and dexterity to lift and carry heavy items, such as cases of liquor or bags of ice.
• Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
• A positive attitude and a team player mentality, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues.
• Knowledge of responsible alcohol service practices is a plus.
