Sommelier

Jon & Vinny's and Helen's Wines is hiring a Sommelier to be part of our wine team!

This position is perfect for someone with a strong foundation in wine with the desire to grow and continue learning while being a part of one of the most dynamic restaurant groups in LA. 

Our program focuses on naturally-driven and organically farmed labels, small production vineyards, wine makers with integrity, lower intervention elevage & dynamic thoughtful wines. The wine list is a curation of allocated items, limited releases, favorite gems & new finds in a constant rotation.
 

Below are some of the key tasks and responsibilities. Other duties may arise and be assigned:

• Selling and talking about wine with customers at tables and in the shop
• Supporting management with fulfilling online orders, including building gift boxes and organizing orders for pick up delivery, in-state and out-of-state shipping.
• Assisting customers via email or phone
• Creating a friendly and unpretentious atmosphere for customers
• Stocking and maintaining the retail shop
• Cellar organization
• Generating and tracking sales with a focus on creating repeat business 
• Mix of day and night shifts, including weekend admin
