Job overview : 

We are a team of highly experienced, New York City-based operators in the restaurant and hotel industry, known as the Hospitality Department. Our services include concept development, management, and consulting for various types of dining establishments. We provide innovative solutions in real estate, hotels, and entertainment, striving for excellence in everything we do.

 
 Role Description :
 
This is a full-time on-site role for a Hostess at the Hospitality Department in the New York City Metropolitan Area. The Hostess will be responsible for managing reservations, communicating with guests, providing excellent customer service, and demonstrating proper phone etiquette on a daily basis.
 
 Qualifications :
 
Interpersonal Skills, Communication, and Customer Service skills
Experience in handling reservations
Knowledge of proper phone etiquette
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Previous experience in the hospitality industry is a plus

Oversee all aspects of the front desk and the reservations departmen
Provide special attention to key Point Seven VIPs and distinguished guests of Ownership and upper management 
Prepare and oversee the reservation confirmation system, to include fact checking all guest and insuring that data is in the reservation platform 
Maintain menus to insure their cleanliness and accuracy. Ensure smooth execution when making changes to the menu 
Participate in shift meeting by going over the floor plan, VIPs, and special requests 
Maintain a consistent presence at the front desk 
Ensure that all VIP guests’ expectations are being communicated to all and followed thru. 

 

 

Education, Certification, Experience :

 

  • 2+ years management experience in a New York City Fine Ding/high volume restaurant 
  • The ability to make decisions at a moment’s notice 
  • Experience in managing a large staff 
  • A strong passion for food and beverage with an emphasis on hospitality driven service 
  • Strong written and oral communications skills 
  • Strong organizational skills 
  • Must have a high level of flexibility, including a willingness to work weekends, holidays and 
  • additional hours when necessary 

Compensation Details

Compensation: Hourly ($20.00 - $22.00)
