Description:

Yolk | Chicago-Metro wants to add an Assistant General Manager to our team. Applicants should have at least 1 year of Restaurant Management experience and a strong sense of customer service.

Responsibilities:

• Assist the General Managers with product ordering, scheduling, payroll, and achieving Food, Expense & Labor targets
• Inspect vendor deliveries to confirm accuracy, sign and file delivery invoices
• Supervise FOH and BOH staff, oversee proper communication between all staff on the shift
• Uphold a fun, positive, and efficient environment for staff and our guests
• Learn and understand how to properly use budgeting tools in Google Sheets to achieve F&E&L targets
• Arrange new hires' proper onboarding, assisting them with paperwork and providing them with a professional, welcoming work environment
• Monitor compliance with safety and hygiene regulations
• Check-in with guests throughout the day by doing table visits, responding to guest complaints appropriately, and ensuring everything possible is done to provide a memorable guest experience from the moment they walk in

Requirements:

• Working experience as a Restaurant Manager or similar role in the Hospitality industry
• Experience with POS software, Yelp Waitlist, or similar Restaurant Management Software
• Strong math and reporting skills
• Ability to learn, understand, and follow budgeting tools through Google Sheets, Hotschedules
• Strong customer service skills
• Availability to work through our operating hours (including weekends, holidays, etc)
• Great communication and team management abilities
• Ability to monitor staff, and ensure company policies and standards are upheld
