Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled Pizza Cook to join our team at Pizza Inn, the front-facing pizzeria section of The Walk Inn. The ideal candidate will be proficient in preparing pizza dough, sauces, and other pizza ingredients, ensuring high-quality pizzas that align with our culinary standards. Additionally, the Pizza Cook will handle customer transactions using our POS system, providing friendly and efficient service.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and stretch pizza dough according to standard recipes and procedures.
• Create and cook pizzas, ensuring each pizza meets quality and presentation standards.
• Prepare and portion pizza toppings, sauces, and other ingredients.
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including pizza ovens and dough mixers.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pizza preparation area and kitchen stations.
• Assist with inventory management and stock rotation.
• Handle customer orders and transactions using our POS system with accuracy and professionalism.
• Provide excellent customer service, addressing customer inquiries and ensuring a positive dining experience.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Pizza Cook or similar role, preferably in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
• Ability to prepare pizza dough from scratch and execute traditional and creative pizza recipes.
• Proficiency in operating kitchen equipment, including pizza ovens, mixers, and slicers.
• Strong attention to detail with a focus on food quality and presentation.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
• Experience with POS systems and ability to handle transactions accurately.
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Culinary degree or relevant certification is a plus but not necessary.
• Knowledge of Latin American or Dominican cuisine is beneficial but not required.
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is a plus.
