Balthazar Bakery in Englewood, NJ is hiring experienced pastry cooks to work in our retail-only pastry department that bakes exclusively for our on-site retail shop located at our wholesale bakery.

This well-loved bakery offers frequently changing menus of sweet and savory pastries baked with seasonal and locally-sourced ingredients. Pastries are offered to the public alongside our bread and Viennoiserie produced here, as well as a small curated selection of complimentary items.

We are seeking cooks who are enthusiastic and curious all things culinary, and who have a couple of years of experience baking and cooking with seasonal ingredients in a high-level fine dining professional restaurant kitchen or bakery. Desired candidates must have a strong understanding of pastry and baking techniques, as well as the ability to take initiative and multitask, while maintaining the highest standards.

Balthazar Bakery was built and continiues to be run by bakers, and is an exciting bakery to work at. We love to expand our boundaries, exploring different cultural traditions through food. 

We are open 364(5) days per year, necessitating weekend and holiday availability. This is an early morning/daytime job.
