Maxwell social is a private members home made to feel like a home. The beautifully decorated 8000 square feet space boasts 3 main rooms with two kitchens. We are focused on building out a small, curated, membership community. We are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Bartender to join our team and contribute to our bar's success.
Who are we looking for?
We are looking for an experienced bartender to make drinks for our events. The ideal candidate will be proficient in crafting exceptional drinks (and creating them), being friendly and helpful with others, and ensuring the bar remains well-stocked and clean and presentable.
Responsibilities

Customer Service: Greet members warmly, take orders efficiently, and provide exceptional service to ensure a positive guest experience.

Drink Preparation: Mix and serve drinks following established recipes, ensuring consistency and quality. Create custom drinks based on customer preferences.

Inventory Management: Monitor and maintain stock levels of liquor, beer, wine, mixers, and other supplies. Assist in inventory counts and reordering as needed.

Bar Maintenance: Keep the bar area clean, organized, and well-stocked. Ensure all equipment is in good working order.

Square/POS Handling: Accurately process customer payments using the point-of-sale (POS) system. As we do not take cash, no cash will be accepted.

Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with barbacks, servers, and management to ensure smooth operations and a positive work environment.

Promotions and Events: Assist in the promotion of bar specials, events, and themed nights. Engage with customers to create a fun and lively atmosphere.
Qualifications

Previous experience as a bartender or in the hospitality industry in NYC preferred.

Strong knowledge of a wide variety of drink recipes, cocktail preparation techniques, and proper serving practices.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Outgoing, friendly, and approachable personality with a passion for customer service.

Ability to stand for long periods, lift heavy items, and work in a busy, often noisy environment.

TIPS (Training for Intervention Procedures) or similar responsible beverage service certification preferred.
