We are seeking bartenders for all our locations : Lillies 17th, Lillies 49th, Papillion Bistro and Bar and Oscar Wilde. The bartenders we are seeking need to be witty, bright, hard-working, and have great social skills who have had relevant experience in a busy and high-volume bar/restaurant. At CDG Group, the Bartender is responsible for preparing alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages and providing excellent service accompanied by memorable experiences to all guests who visit any of our locations in NYC. 

Your responsibilities are to maintain a professional demeanor, charisma, and a positive energy to create a fun environment that drives conversation and sales. A successful Bartender will greet customers, answer questions, recommend menu items, and prepare and serve beverages. You will also upsell items, utilize proper equipment and ingredients, and handle proper cleaning duties. To succeed as a Bartender, you should have a neat appearance and an engaging, friendly personality. You should be efficient, observant, knowledgeable, and personable.

Main Duties…

You will be responsible for preparing alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages while providing quality service to all guests who come to Oscar Wilde.

This includes

-Properly mixing and measuring ingredients to prepare refined cocktails and libations.

-Pouring wine and beer.

-Serve customers in a friendly and helpful manner.

-Maintain a clean and organized section as well as collaborate with other bartenders to; wash glassware and utensils after each use; clean up after customers and clean the work area.

-Collect payment on all sold items and operate a cash register (POS system: Toast).

-Check customers' identifications to ensure they meet age requirements for the purchase and consumption of alcohol.

-Create a healthy and fun ambiance for both colleagues and guests.

-Professionally follow procedures from our Corporate Beverage Director and our Company Head Bartenders.

-Must monitor and maintain an inventory of supplies and replenishment of items (delicate to Barbacks if they are on duty).

-Support team in creating social media posts for Oscar Wilde Instagram and Facebook.

-Supporting the management team as needed.

Requirements…

-Must have a minimum of 3 - 5 years of experience in a high-volume setting.

-Exceptional customer service skills, team player attitude, and ability to multitask are a must!

-Must have open availability and NYC food protection certification. TIPS/Alcohol Training certification is a plus.

-Must have an extensive beer, liquor, and craft cocktail knowledge.

-Must be able to seize, grasp, turn, and hold objects with hands, including the ability to clean up after customers and work areas.

-Must have some sort of social media presence, preferably Instagram and Facebook.

-Direct experience collecting payments and operating a POS system.

-A customer service orientation that is both friendly and helpful.

-Skilled in monitoring and maintaining an inventory of supplies.

-A knack for memorizing and mixing ingredients.
