The new location in Domino Park, Brooklyn, aims to bring the flavors and excitement of our brand to one of NYC's most dynamic neighborhoods and newest development.
Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic General Manager to lead our team and oversee the operations of our new location in Domino Park, Brooklyn. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality, a deep understanding of restaurant operations, and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service. This role requires a hands-on leader who can inspire and manage a diverse team, drive sales, and ensure operational excellence. Ideal candidate has experience with Latin/Cuban cuisine.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Team Management:
- Recruit, train, and develop a high-performing team, including front-of-house and back-of-house staff.
- Foster a positive and inclusive work environment that encourages teamwork and professional growth.
- Set clear performance expectations and provide regular feedback and coaching.
Operational Oversight:
- Ensure smooth daily operations, maintaining high standards of food quality, service, and cleanliness.
- Implement and uphold company policies, procedures, and standards.
- Oversee inventory management, ordering, and cost control to maximize profitability.
Customer Service Excellence:
- Cultivate a welcoming and memorable dining experience for all guests.
- Address customer feedback and resolve issues promptly and effectively.
- Implement initiatives to enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty.
Financial Management:
- Develop and manage budgets, financial reports, and performance metrics.
- Analyze sales and financial data to identify opportunities for growth and improvement.
- Drive revenue through strategic planning and marketing initiatives.
Community Engagement:
- Build and maintain relationships with local businesses, organizations, and the community.
- Represent our brand at local events and promotions to increase brand visibility, be a brand ambassador.
Compliance & Safety:
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
- Maintain a safe working environment for staff and customers.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a General Manager or in a similar leadership role within the restaurant industry.
- Strong understanding of restaurant operations, including inventory management, financial reporting, and staff scheduling.
- Exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
- Excellent customer service skills with a passion for creating a positive dining experience.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in restaurant management software and point-of-sale systems.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Knowledge of Cuban cuisine and culture is a MUST!
- Spanish speaking preferable
