**Key Responsibilities:**
1. **Menu Development:**
- Design and develop a variety of innovative and high-quality desserts, pastries, and baked goods.
- Collaborate with the executive chef and management to create seasonal and special event menus.
- Ensure all menu items meet the restaurant's standards for taste, presentation, and creativity.
2. **Production and Preparation:**
- Oversee daily pastry production, ensuring consistency, quality, and timely delivery of all items.
- Manage inventory and ordering of ingredients, ensuring freshness and minimizing waste.
- Maintain clean and organized workstations, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
3. **Team Management:**
- Lead, train, and motivate the pastry team, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
- Schedule and manage pastry staff to ensure efficient operation during service hours.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback and development opportunities.
4. **Quality Control:**
- Conduct regular tastings and inspections to ensure the highest quality of all pastry items.
- Continuously seek ways to improve processes, techniques, and presentations.
- Address any issues or complaints promptly and professionally.
5. **Innovation and Trends:**
- Stay updated on current pastry and baking trends, incorporating new techniques and ingredients as appropriate.
- Experiment with new recipes and ideas to keep the menu fresh and exciting.
- Attend industry events, workshops, and trainings to enhance skills and knowledge.
**Qualifications:**
- Proven experience as a Pastry Chef in an upscale or fine dining environment.
- Culinary degree or equivalent professional training in pastry arts.
- Strong creative and artistic skills, with a keen eye for detail and presentation.
- Excellent leadership and team management abilities.
- Solid understanding of health and safety regulations.
- Exceptional time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle high-pressure situations.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
