Earthly Delights is a brand new bi-level bar/restaurant that is music-centric and industry forward. Owned and operated by nightlife and hospitality veterans, we aim to cultivate an environment that ensures both our staff and guests have a safe and memorable experience. We are opening this fall in Ridgewood, Queens - walking distance from both the L and M subway lines.

We are seeking ambitious, compassionate individuals excited by the unique opportunity of being a pivotal part of our opening team. We are offering brunch, dinner, cocktails, and music seven nights a week in a fast-paced, jovial, and whimsical atmosphere.

Position Overview:

As a Porter, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our venue, ensuring a pleasant and safe environment for both guests and staff. You will contribute to an environment where creativity flourishes and curiosity is encouraged.

Key Responsibilities:

• Clean and sanitize all areas of the venue, including restrooms, dining areas, office spaces, floors, and kitchen spaces.
• Ensure that all public and staff areas are kept clean, organized, and free of hazards.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs, unclogging drains, and addressing minor repairs.
• Monitor and maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment.
• Inform management of any shortages or needs for additional supplies.
• Ensure proper storage and handling of cleaning chemicals and materials.
• Assist with setup and breakdown of events, including arranging furniture and setting up equipment.
• Transport and dispose of waste and recyclables in a timely and efficient manner.
• Assist kitchen staff with cleaning and organizing kitchen areas and equipment.
• Assist fellow team members as needed, contributing to a cooperative and positive work environment.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a porter, janitor, or in a similar maintenance role.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends.
• A team player with a positive attitude and a strong work ethic.
• Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs
