Job Responsibilities:
This position is responsible for ensuring that customers have a positive and memorable experience at The Bronx Brewery Taproom & Backyard. The candidate must have a passion for craft beer, learning the details of the beers we produce, and our general operations.
Reporting to the General Manager – Hospitality Operations (GM), responsibilities include: greeting guests promptly and courteously; guiding guests to beers, other beverages and food they enjoy; performing opening & closing duties, which include setting up, restocking, and cleaning the hospitality areas; accurately performing money handling procedures; knowledgeably describing our beers and demonstrating an understanding of the brewing process and a comprehensive knowledge of our brand, team and company.
This role will maintain compliance with NYC DOH & NYS Department of Agriculture and Markets standards, cleanliness, efficiency and overall excellence. The duties of this position may change from time to time. The Bronx Brewery reserves the right to add or delete duties and responsibilities at their discretion. Location:
This role is based in our flagship location at 856 East 136th Street, Bronx NY 10454, though it may also include coverage at our other Bronx Brewery taproom locations and offsite events.
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of hospitality experience preferred.
- Timeliness and reliability are a necessity able to adjust to the needs of the business.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- ServSafe or TIPS alcohol certified (can be achieved after start date).
- Ability to lift, carry, maneuver cases of beer weighing up to 35 LBS.
- Ability to lift, carry, maneuver kegs of beer weighing up to 165 LBS, with the assistance of another co-worker, or a hand cart.
- Cicerone certification is a plus.
- Current NYC DOH Food Handlers License and/or ServSafe Certificate preferred.
- Excellent problem-solving and process-driven delegation skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, ideally in both English and Spanish.
- Ability to stand for long hours.

- This is a tipped position and subject to New York City tipped minimum wages
