ABOUT THE ROLE
Event Bartenders are responsible for delivering a premier level of beverage service to clients and guests for events taking place in all outlets. This individual will support crafting and serving a variety of cocktails, wines, spirits, and beverages while ensuring a memorable experience for our guests and supporting all aspects of the event.
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIS:
- Execute events from end to end at a premier level of excellence and hospitality while ensuring guest satisfaction, anticipating and accommodating guest needs.
- Maintain polished, presentable and neat appearance at all times while exhibiting refined service etiquette
- Craft and serve a wide range of cocktails, wines, spirits, and beverages to guests at events per the Company specifications and brand standards
- Ensure all beverages are prepared to the highest standards using specified ingredients and precise techniques
- Offer recommendations and insights on drink selections, catering to guest preferences and enhancing their experience
- Properly set-up the bar stations, ensure all bars are fully stocked; performs side-work and other opening/closing procedures, and tasks as assigned throughout the event as directed by management
- Follow all proper steps of service as per the event details
- Solicit any allergy or dietary restrictions from guests where applicable
- Accurately enter all orders into the POS system and follow proper cash/payment card procedures if applicable to the event
- Ensures the delivery of all food and beverage to guests
- Maintain general cleanliness of bar and bar area, and the entire venue.
- Makes sure all liquor displays and shelving are organized, and par levels are maintained.
- Follow management instructions, communicate with and support co-workers, be a team player.
- Serve alcoholic beverages in accordance with state regulations and alcohol awareness training standards.
- Actively support inventory activities; maintain accurate inventory of bar supplies and beverages while minimizing waste
- Complies with Department of Health and company sanitation standards.
- Accurately completes all end-of-shift financial procedures.
- Reports all breakage, damage of equipment or furniture immediately to management.
- Attends and participates in daily pre-service meetings, trainings, or departmental meetings.
- Operate ethically to protect the assets and image of the company

KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
- 2 years of professional event bartending experience in an upscale, luxury setting
- High volume experience required
- Strong mixology skills with ability to craft classic and contemporary cocktails
- Exceptional guest service and hospitality skills with experience managing high profile events and VIP clientele
- Detail oriented, proactive, with a refined sense of service and ability to perform gracefully under pressure
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage strict timelines
- Strong work ethic and guest-focused approach
- Ability to handle guest requests, complaints, and concerns in an efficient, calm, and genuine manner
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in an everchanging, fast-paced environment
- Ability to communicate effectively and eloquently, both verbal and written, across all levels within the organization
- Certification in responsible alcohol service (TIPS) is preferred
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including early mornings, days, nights, weekends, and holidays
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to lift and carry items weighing 50 pounds on a regular basis.
- Ability to stand for prolong periods of time.
- Moving about on foot to accomplish tasks, particularly frequent movements from place to place within the property. Bend, lift, carry, reach/extend arms, and hands above shoulder height frequently, climb steps regularly, or otherwise move in a constantly changing environment.
COMPENSATION
The base pay range for this position is $25 - 30 per hour. The determination of what a specific employee in this job classification is paid within the range depends on a number of factors, including, but not limited to, prior employment history/job-related knowledge, qualifications and skills, etc.
