Summary: A Reservationist plays a crucial role in ensuring optimal guest satisfaction and operational efficiency through effective management of restaurant reservations. A reservationist is responsible for handling reservation inquiries, coordinating bookings, and maintaining accurate records of reservations and guest preferences. Your role will involve interacting with guests using various communication tools, providing exceptional customer service, and collaborating closely with restaurant staff to ensure seamless dining experiences.
Responsibilities:
- Provide courteous and professional assistance to guests, ensuring their needs are met promptly and effectively.
- Handle incoming reservation inquiries via phone, email, and other communication tools.
- Assist guests in making reservations and provide information regarding availability, menu options, and restaurant policies.
- Confirm reservations and follow up with guests about any details, or inquiries, resolving issues and maintaining positive guest relationships.
- Collaborate with restaurant staff, such as Hosts and Maître D, to ensure coordination and communication related to reservations.
- Address guest concerns and complaints with a focus on satisfaction and recovery of service, escalating issues as needed.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of reservations, guest information, and special requests using reservation management software.
- Compile daily reports and summaries for management review.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and industry standards related to reservations.
Must Haves:
- Proven experience as a reservationist or in a customer service role, preferably in the hospitality industry.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with attention to detail.
- Ability to remain calm and courteous under pressure.
- Proficiency in reservation management software and basic computer skills.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
