Primary Objective of Position:

• Displays a professional demeanor to all guests in the hotel’s food and beverage outlets including but not limited to Travelle Restaurant, Travelle Bar, In Room Dining, and Pavillion.

Responsibilities and Job Duties:

• Meet and greet guests as they arrive and depart, offer choice of seating, then escort them to their table and present menu
• Maintain proper set up of the dining room and cleanliness and standard presentation of all menus
• Promptly answer the telephone and input messages into the computer. Retrieve messages and communicate the content to the guest. Retrieve mail, small packages and facsimiles for customers as requested
• Receive, record and make any necessary arrangements for reservations and special functions in the restaurant
• Cooperate closely with other members of the outlet team including servers and kitchen colleagues.   Act as a liaison between the guest and other hotel departments
• Responsible for assisting in inspecting linen, china, silverware and condiments. Clear all tables during and after meal periods.   Maintain the cleanliness of the Host stand
• Provide knowledge of the hotel, facilities and local city attractions to respond to guest/client inquiries

• High School graduate or equivalent preferred. College degree preferred with emphasis on Hospitality and Tourism
• 1 - 2 years of previous restaurant experience required
• Prior Food & Beverage experience
• Luxury hotel experience preferred
• Knowledge of POS system
