HIDE+SEEK is seeking a hardworking and dedicated Line Cook to join the team!
AVAILABILITY REQUIRED Monday-Friday 3pm-Midnight, Saturday and Sunday 8am-1am (Brunch & Dinner).
THE SPACE
Nestled in the heart of Randolph Row, HIDE+SEEK brings comfortable elegance and playful design to West Loop. Our creative American shared plates menu incorporates touches from Spain, France, and Italy. The beverage program follows suit, and features fresh takes on classic cocktails and hand selected wines.
Exposed brick and rustic chandeliers intertwine with playful art and vibrant patterns in the two level restaurant, creating a refined but relaxed atmosphere. We are open 7 days a week, which can be enjoyed inside or on our patio.
BRUNCH
Saturday & Sunday: 10am – 4pm
DINNER
Sunday-Thursday: 5pm – 11pm
Friday & Saturday: 5pm – Midnight
HAPPIER HOUR
Everyday: 4pm – 6pm

RESPONSIBILITIES
Food Preparation:
- Cook menu items per recipes and standards in a timely manner and to the correct temperature
- Ensure freshness and quality of ingredients.
Station Management:
- Set up and stock stations.
- Keep the workstation clean and organized.
- Prepare food promptly and to quality standards.
Quality Control:
- Ensure that dishes meet restaurant quality standards before serving.
- Plate and garnish dishes to enhance presentation.
Sanitation and Safety:
- Follow food handling, sanitation, and safety procedures.
- Maintain a clean kitchen.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently and perform regular maintenance.
Inventory:
- Assist in managing food supplies.
- Report inventory shortages.
- Stand for extended periods.
- Lift up to 50 pounds.
- Work in a hot, humid environment.
Work Schedule:
- Evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Flexible shifts.
Professional Development:
- Stay updated on current cooking techniques and trends.
- Participate in ongoing training and development opportunities.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 2 Years Experience as a Line Cook
- Understanding of cooking methods, ingredients, and equipment.
- Ability to work quickly and accurately.
- Team player with good communication skills.
- Food Handler’s and Allergens Certification is a plus.
