Hours: 8 am - 4 pm (Wednesday - Sunday) (subject to change)

Anticipated Start Date: March 2025

Pay: $22 - $24 per hour + tips


Job Description:

Hey there! We’re Lisbonata, a small but growing bakery known for our handcrafted Pastéis de Nata—flaky, creamy, and downright irresistible. We’re looking for a skilled lamination baker to join our tight-knit team and bring their expertise to our production.

🚨 Previous lamination experience is a must! If you don’t have at least one year of experience working with laminated dough, please don’t apply—let’s not waste both of our time.

Right now, we’re working out of a shared kitchen, but exciting changes are ahead—we’re moving into our very own space in Crown Heights this spring (April–May)! If you know your way around lamination, take pride in your craft, and want to be part of something special, we’d love to hear from you.

The right candidate will have the opportunity to grow within the company as we continue to expand.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience (min. 1 year) as a viennoiserie baker who knows how to laminate a pastry. (must have)
  • Ability to thrive in a collaborative, small-team environment in a shared kitchen space.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to thrive in a new and dynamic business setting.
  • A keen eye for detail and dedication to maintaining high standards.
  • Passion for creating delightful pastry experiences for our customers.
  • Great communicator and collaborative personality.
  • Ability to work Wednesday through Sunday. (8 am untill 4 pm)
  • Must be 18 years of age or older and authorized to work in the US.

Responsibilities As we specialize in crafting only one product daily, the ideal candidate's responsibilities include:

  • Preparing the dough and performing lamination for finishing. 
  • Planning the weekly production schedule.
  • Assisting other team members with baking, packing, and other tasks as needed.
  • Maintaining a clean and organized workspace.

  • Physical Requirements
  • Be able to stand for extended periods of time (over 7.5 hours).
  • Be able to lift and carry 50 pounds steadily.
