OASES is seeking a full-time barista/server.

You will be preparing and serving OASES guests according to guidelines and specifications outlined by Lead Barista and Manager, as well as perform other cleaning and maintenance tasks related to the menu.

Primary Activities & Responsibilities

• Demonstrate proficient knowledge of coffee, coffee-making, tea and machine handling, including deep cleaning espresso machine (will be trained) 
• Maintain a well-managed, organized, and sanitary station 
• Carefully follow the daily station prep list
• Monitor house coffee and supervise coffee brewing
• Ensure that all beverages are properly prepared and served
• Investigate and assist in any customer questions or complaints regarding beverage service or preparation
• Inspect and properly maintain drink-ware and beverage preparation equipment according to OASES guidelines
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge about menu offerings and preparation
• Assisting guests with menu selections, explaining off menu dishes, answering questions about preparation and ingredients 
• Takes orders from guests, ensures 100% accuracy when entering orders into POS
• Runs food from kitchen to tables; stays on top of table maintenance
• Submits accurate cash and tip reporting, contributes to tip pool as applicable

Qualifications: 

• Minimum 2+ years’ experience in cafe / restaurants, cocktail bars, hotels, or equivalent preferred not required 
• A positive attitude and passion for providing exceptional hospitality service
• TIPS certification preferred
• Flexible work schedules: the ability to work night, weekends, holidays, as business permits
• The ability to lift, carry, push, or pull heavy objects, up to 50lbs
