POSITION SUMMARY
Citizen Sprout is looking for a DEPENDABLE, efficient, knowledgeable and communicative Prep Cook and Dishwasher to join our team as we embark on a rapid growth phase.
PRIMARY JOB FUNCTIONS
- Wash, cut, and prepare all foods for the next day’s service.
- Measure and prepare dressings, sauces, and dry mixes by effectively following recipes.
- Label, date, and organize all prepped food in proper storage areas.
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen area, service area, and storage area.
- Track ingredient inventory and communicate with appropriate personnel when inventory is running low.
- Wash and clean all dishes, utensils, cooking spaces as directed by the kitchen manager and supervisors.
- Complete all other tasks as handed down by the kitchen manager and supervisors
The duties listed above represent an outline of the responsibilities of this role. The role itself is not limited to the above and therefore requires flexibility on the part of the ideal candidate.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Must be able to lift and push up to 50lbs.
- Arrives to workstation on time, appropriately groomed, dressed, and ready to work; works all scheduled shifts and attends required training and meetings.
- Strong communication skills and willingness to work as part of a team.
Work Experience Required:
- Minimum of three (3) years experience in a hands-on prep or line cook role role.
- ¡Se habla espanol esta bien! Learn large batch and high-volume cooking!
We are centrally located in downtown Los Angeles with easy access to public transportation.
