The Banquet Cook position requires good communication and culinary skills. The ideal candidate will have at least two years of previous line, banquet, or relevant cooking experience, as well as a flexible working schedule. Candidates should be able to perform all basic cooking techniques, and have the ability to manage their time efficiently. The banquet cook should be willing to learn/grow professionally, and operate in a high volume capacity.

 

Qualifications:

  • Positive attitude and a willingness to learn in a fast paced environment
  • Able to work off of a prep list and manage time efficiently with prep projects
  • Able to lift, pull, and push 40lbs
  • Able to walk and stand throughout duration of shift
  • Flexible availability as needed based on our event schedule
  • Culinary degree or related hotel experience is preferred
  • Candidates should be able to perform all basic and intermediate cooking skills.
  • Able to work multiple stations in the kitchen, including deep fry, saute, oven, grill, and pantry
  • Should have a basic understanding of meat, poultry, and seafood cooking temperatures
  • Must be willing to work as a team and communicate on a daily basis with chefs and other teammates in the kitchen
