Tuxedo Hospitality is a New York City based hospitality group. The group currently features Chinese Tuxedo, Peachy's, The Tyger and South Soho Bar in its portfolio with more venues to come.
The Tyger is an all day, full service South East Asian restaurant at the border of SoHo and Chinatown. Our mission is to be New York City's most ambitious and celebrated East Asian Restaurant.
A kitchen helmed by international chef Paul Donnelly, we offer contemporary cuisine inspired by food traditions from across East Asia not typically found in New York City restaurants. Job Description Overview
Drive a world class and best in category restaurant bar operation. Help grow, develop and train a high-performance team. Be an ambassador and champion of team culture and guest experience. Sustainably manage inventory. Lead the cocktail program creativity in collaboratation with the General Manager and Bar Team. Ensure bar ambience and presentation are aligned with the venue’s conceptual vision. Maintain DOH and SLA compliance at all times
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Administrative Duties
- Ensure daily par sheets are completed
- Sustainably manage produce
- Ensure all products are stored correctly and managed in accordance with set standards.
- Always in consideration of safe handling procedures and Department of Health standards.
- Assist with liquor ordering and invoice reconciliation
- Competency with Bevager and other stock management tools
- Ensure that POS menus are up-to-date and reflect physical menus
- Competency with Toast, Bentobox and the physical menu update processes
- Run monthly inventory Audits in collaboration with management
- Actively find ways of improving stock variance
- Opening Schedule
- Delegation of bar checklists and daily tasks
- Bar Set-up
- Determining any 86’s
- Delivering bar notes to team at line-up
- Closing Schedule
- Breakdown and clean bar
- Count cash register
- Declare cash tips
- During Service
- Order taking, processing checks to ensure prompt service
- Service Bartender to make drink tickets.
- Clearing bar of dirty glassware, plates, napkins etc.
- Maintain a clean and tidy workspace
