Their responsibilities include:
  • Menu planning: Creating menus, designing plating presentations, and regularly updating menus with new recipes
  • Staff management: Coordinating and assisting kitchen staff, hiring and training new staff, and delegating tasks
  • Procurement: Ordering and purchasing equipment and stock, and managing kitchen costs
  • Quality assurance: Ensuring food meets quality standards and is served on time
  • Safety and sanitation: Enforcing best practices for safety, nutrition, and sanitation
