About Flyfish Club:

Flyfish Club is an exclusive members club located on the Lower East Side of Manhattan, NYC. Created and operated by the VCR Group, Flyfish Club spans over three floors with a Restaurant and Bar, Private Dining Room, Cocktail Lounge that features live entertainment, as well as a 14 seat Omakase Room that offers two seatings every night. 

Job Description:

Flyfish Club is seeking an expereinced and dynamic Executive Chef to lead our culinary team. The ideal candidate will be a visionary leader with a deep passion for seafood cuisine, a commitment to sustainable practices, and a proven track record in high-end dining establishments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Culinary Leadership: Develop and execute alongside the Chief Culinary Officer innovative menus that reflect Flyfish Club’s brand and vision. Ensure the highest quality standards in food preparation and presentation.
  • Team Management: Recruit, train, and mentor kitchen staff. Foster a collaborative and positive work environment that encourages creativity and excellence.
  • Operational Oversight: Manage kitchen operations including inventory, purchasing, and cost control. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Member Experience: Engage with a leadership team to create personalized and memorable dining experiences for our members. Actively seek and incorporate member feedback to continuously improve offerings.
  • Sustainability: Champion sustainable seafood practices and source ingredients responsibly. Maintain relationships with local suppliers and artisans.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum of 8 years of culinary experience in similar high end dining environments with at least 2 to 3 years in a leadership role as an Executive Chef or similar position. 
  • Education: Culinary degree from an accredited institution preferred but not essential.
  • Skills: Expertise or expereince in seafood and global cuisines, strong leadership and management abilities, excellent communication skills, and proficiency in modern culinary techniques.
  • Attributes: Creative, detail-oriented, kind, collaborative, passionate about culinary arts, and dedicated to providing exceptional member experiences.

Compensation Details

Compensation: Salary ($120,000.00 - $150,000.00)
