Back Waiter
Primary Duties: Assisting front-waiters in all aspects of table maintenance.
Overview
As a back waiter at MUSE, you are responsible for ensuring that each dining space is pristinely set and welcoming for each guest as they arrive at their table. This is a multi-faceted role, as you are not only tending to tables, clearing and resetting them in a timely manner, but you are also integral in stocking the elements necessary for service including tableware and cutlery. You will support the service team in the pursuit of one common goal; that every guest is happy.
Job Responsibilities:
- Assist with the setup and breakdown of the dining room each shift
- Assist the front-waiter in the cleaning, clearing, and marking of tables. Doing so as a team.
- Cleaning, crumbing and resetting tables for the next turn.
- Be in constant communication with the front waiter to assure proper clearing and marking is completed.
- Keep bathrooms clean during service.
- General upkeep and maintenance of the dining area.
- Transport cutlery and plates to and from dish pit, glassware to bar.
- Polish clean cutlery for table settings.
- Stock waiter station with polished plates and glassware.
- Set up and break down the restaurant before and after service with the team.
- Follow Health and Safety Standards when handling food.
- Attend regularly scheduled training meetings to develop knowledge and skills.
- Support Service team throughout service.
- Menu and wine knowledge.
- Responsible Beverage Service Training Certificate.
- Food Handler Certificate.
Compensation Details
Compensation: Hourly ($17.28) plus tips
