Job Description: Receiver/Pantry Assistant
The Receiver position at COOKBOOK MARKET is expected to accomplish the following:
● Arrive and leave on time, and clock in/out accordingly
● Dress appropriately every day for work.
● Follow break policies in effect at this location.
● Master receiving, organizing, unpacking, pricing deliveries in kitchen, walk-in and pantry
space
● Follow systems for transferring items
● Assist Pantry buyer with inventory counts as well as recording and sharing data
● Assist Pantry buyer with ordering
● Master Toast Retail platform and barcoding tools for receiving and inputting new inventory
● Train and assist in overseeing receiving teams
● Ensure that pack out duties are completed on a daily basis and communicate needs with
buyer
● Use proper dating and labeling following procedures.
● Upkeeping and understanding high standards for food quality control to uphold Food Safety
Standards
● Good communication with managers on daily needs
● Upkeeping Sanitation and Cleaning standards following procedures and using proper
checklists
● Assisting with stocking the pantry shelves and refrigerators and merchandising new products
● Having a sense of storefront operations and supporting guest services as needed
● Working with a sense of urgency in a fast-paced environment and work in a timely and
efficient manner.
● Maintain positive, team-oriented, respectful mentality.
● Other duties as assigned.

● Maintain an up-to-date California food handlers card certification and anti-harassment

required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust
focus. The noise level in this environment is usually moderate.
