Job Details

We are looking for a GENERAL MANAGER to join our grand opening team at LALIKO, a new Georgian restaurant opening in West Village, Manhattan at 80m Carmine Street. The annual compensation for this position will start at $100,000 per year and will be determined based on prior experience/knowledge.

The ideal candidate for this position must include the following:

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum 5 years of restaurant experience as a general manager of a full service restaurant
  • Proficiency in food planning and preparation, purchasing, sanitation, security, restaurant technology platforms, personnel management, recordkeeping, and preparation of reports.
  • Possess excellent basic math skills and have the ability to operate a POS system.
  • Knowledge of computers (MS Word, Excel). Experience with Toast POS preferred
  • Must possess a valid government ID and must be eligible to work in the United States.
  • Food Handlers Certification
  • Open availability
  • Willing to train as each BOH and FOH position to fully comprehend what each job position entails

Basic responsibilities of a General Manager of LALIKO include the following:

  • Overseeing daily operations of the business
  • Creating new strategies for growth and putting them into practice
  • Overseeing the budget and managing expenses
  • Training hourly staff and lower-level managers
  • Hiring and terminating employees
  • Evaluating productivity and performance.
  • Creating and implementing SOPS's as well as strategies for improvement
  • Keeping reports of business and employee performance
  • Coordinating several teams and communicating with clients
  • Seeks out and uses service-related guest feedback and takes appropriate action to continually improve the level of service, drive overall guest satisfaction, increase return visits, and reduce guest complaints.
  • Develops and implements plans to continually improve guest satisfaction in the areas of server attentiveness and table cleanliness.
  • Concentrates on training service personnel, to continually improve the guest experience.
  • Ensures safety, sanitation, and security guidelines are followed at all times and immediately resolves any items identified in inspections.
  • Reinforces suggestive selling behaviors by ensuring that the guest is invited to enjoy sushi, side orders, beverages, and desserts as part of the dining experience.
  • Responsible for maintaining the Company standards of products, services, and quality.
