Winona’s is looking for a sous chef to lead our small and dedicated BOH team. The ideal candidate would be passionate, driven, with  solid kitchen experience in a fast paced environment, and some managment experience (very willing to train the right candidate.) We are looking for somone to be in charge of closing duties nightly as well as leading in the absence of the chef. Winona's kitchen is close knit and focused on pushing ourselves and each other to higher standards and constantly improving. Our menu changes often in light of what is in season and we welcome and encourage collaboration with daily tastings and menu development alongside the chef. 

The expectation for the position will be to learn every station and be capable of moving through the kitchen seamlessly, providing input on new menu items and creating specials occasionally, keeping the food/staff up to standards set by the chef, a small amouint of ordering, mentoring cooks into good habits, keeping DOH standards, and most importantly, leading by example.

Compensation Details

Compensation: Salary ($70,000.00)

The word-of-mouth-based series evolved into what is now Winona’s (named lovingly after our dog). Our focus has always been to bring people together, and while, in these interesting times, the way in which we are able to do this may look a little different, it remains the driving force behind Winona’s.
