Overview: Rokusho LA, the latest venture in Japanese cuisine, is seeking a dynamic General Manager to join our establishment in the heart of Hollywood. As the extension of our renowned Tokyo location, Rokusho LA blends deep Japanese culinary traditions with the innovative spirit of Angeleno cuisine, all under the guidance of Michelin Star Chefs from Japan and Los Angeles. This is an opportunity to be part of a restaurant that celebrates the art of Japanese dining with a modern, elevated casual twist.

Job Description: As the General Manager of Rokusho LA, you will live our vision, values, and beliefs every day, championing a culture of excellence and respect. Your role will be pivotal in delivering financial results aligned with company expectations, developing service standards that reflect our commitment to exceptional hospitality, and fostering a strong leadership team poised for growth.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the delivery of P&L results consistent with revenue and operating income goals.
  • Craft and enforce service protocols to uphold our service standards.
  • Build and mentor a robust Hospitality Leadership team to expand and enhance business operations.
  • Provide direct leadership to all Dining Room associates, ensuring a harmony of service and experience.
  • Formulate strategic partnerships with leadership across the property, integrating Rokusho LA seamlessly into the broader guest experience.
  • Drive sales through mentorship, training, and in-the-moment coaching of teams.
  • Navigate and adapt to change, maintaining excellence amidst challenges.
  • Ensure open, effective communication between Dining Room and Kitchen Leaders and team members.
  • Efficiently manage and prioritize multiple complex daily tasks.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in the Hospitality industry, preferably in fine dining.
  • Ability to independently engage with all levels of leadership in a high-energy environment.
  • Demonstrated leadership with a track record of achieving specific revenue goals.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail.
  • Collaborative mindset with a positive attitude and creative approach to problem-solving.
  • Proven decision-making skills and the capacity to drive results.
  • Experience in business development or entrepreneurial ventures is a significant advantage.

Preferred Skills:

Proficiency in English and Japanese languages to cater to a diverse clientele and uphold the integrity of our Japanese heritage.

Familiarity with Japanese customs and fine dining etiquettes to maintain the authenticity of our guest experience.
