Casa Cruz New York, is located in a six-story beaux arts townhouse on 61st Street, between Park and Madison Avenue. Casa Cruz New York has 220 seats across five floors and is open for dinner and drinks. We are focused on the design, development and operation of hospitality brands that, at their core, are about bringing people together. As a Maitre’d, you must assist in the development of a positive and inclusive work environment, leading in a hands-on capacity and striving to improve the financial and cultural aspects of the restaurant. The Maitre’d shall manage our Partner’s Lists, our Guest Lists and our Reservations Lists to ensure that seating is maximized yet comfortable, and the guests experience is amplified through service

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Create a welcoming and hospitable environment for guests whether in person or over the phone.  
• Quote accurate wait times while “finding the yes” for all guests.  
• Act as a liaison between the guest, management, service staff and kitchen and communicate accordingly.  
• Work with efficiency and a sense of urgency while remaining composed.  
• Demonstrate an understanding of reservations booking strategies and a working knowledge of all functions of SevenRooms.  
• Coordinate with management to “build the book” and boost cover counts while taking into consideration both the needs of the business and the needs of our guests.  

 
Qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience in the role of Maitre D at a fine dining establishment  
• A passion for guest experience and hospitality  
• Ability to walk or stand for long periods of time  
• English fluency and additional languages preferred, but not required  
• Ability to reach, bend, stoop, climb up and down stairs, walk, carry multiple objects
