Job Details

Backal Hospitality Group is growing its culinary leadership team and VERSA an upscale casual dining venue located in the heart of the Garment District is seeking an Executive Sous Chef to join our team of dedicated culinary professionals. The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 5 years of related management experience in a high volume and multi-unit guest service environment placing a primary focus upon expediting, elevated levels of organizational and cleanliness skills and the ability to lead a team effectively.

In addition to being a strong team collaborator the ideal candidate will possess a passion for the culinary arts, knowledge of food and labor costing, menu development, and providing mentorship to all team members to further develop their competencies.

Under the direction of the Vice President of Culinary this role will work in partnership and provide collaborative efforts in managing the daily operations, menu development, providing mentorship and coaching, fostering relationships with purveyors and the ability to flex one’s creative competencies.

Compensation Details

Compensation: Salary ($90,000.00 - $100,000.00)
