Crown & Crumpet is looking for Pastry Chef to work with our Savory Chef in our Japan Town, San Francisco location to make small desserts for our Afternoon Tea Service, cakes and cupcakes, and assist in the Kitchen with plating and service.

Crown & Crumpet, the Bay Area’s favorite British Tea Salon located in vibrant Japan Town, is currently in search of a passionate individual to join our kitchen team.
Prior culinary experience is a must with an exceptional work ethic and a willingness to learn!
- Availability is required on weekends & holidays
- The position offers very competitive pay, as well as daily tips.
- We are open for Lunch and Afternoon Tea service 11:00 am to 4:00pm, four days a week, Friday through Monday.
- Must have an excellent grasp of English.
- We are looking for three/four days a week with shifts from 9am to 5pm approximately, and one day of prep on Thursdays at a time of your choosing.
- There is a good opportunity to use your imagination and creative skills, as our Afternoon Tea items change regularly, and you will be creating all the bite sized desserts, and cakes for service
Job Responsibilities:
*Consistently prepare high quality food in a timely manner while following all company recipes and specifications, particularly making a changing range of bite-sized sweets, tea sandwiches and small savory items, for our Lunch and Afternoon Tea service.
*Excellent communications skills, and reliability.
*Handling Inventory and ordering as necessary.
*Handling food in a manner that is consistent with local health department guidelines. ServSafe Certified a must.
* Prepping and plating foods for lunch and afternoon tea, using standardized recipes, ensuring quality and consistency, and keeping a clean work station.
Job Benefits:
