POSITION SUMMARY

We’re looking for a social media pro to fill a creative, hands-on role within our organization. The Social Media Manager will be responsible for developing strategy, planning, and execution for multiple restaurant social media channels including the Tin Building by Jean-Georges, Malibu Farm New York, and The Fulton, among others.

We’re looking for bold new thinking when it comes to how we surprise, delight, and engage without audiences, and as a social media expert, you’ll bring these ideas to the table. This is also a hands-on role, so get ready to roll your sleeves up. Whether it’s drafting copy, working with designers to bring an idea to life or ensuring our Instagram videos gain maximum traction—you should be ready to run with it.

Additionally, you will work with the broader marketing team to align on content strategies across email, web and printed marketing initiatives, occasionally supporting with copy.

 

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collaborate with internal teams to design and implement a social media strategy that will achieve identified business goals.
  • Create detailed social media project plans, timelines, and budgets. Includes maintaining the social media and content calendar.
  • Be able to execute all aspects of social media plan, including live event coverage, influencer strategy and community management
  • Act as a support in-house copywriter for marketing which includes email, web and print marketing pieces.
  • Participate and contribute to the planning, activation and maintenance of campaigns across various properties.
  • Drive social partnerships to grow various channel presence
  • Ensure measurement of social efforts are utilized to analyze performance, optimize reach and ensure productivity of social content.
  • Keep current on best practices and social media trends-- be a thought leader in the space.
  • Educate and train marketing professionals throughout the organization on social best practices and industry benchmarks.
  • Work with creative team to adhere to brand guidelines.
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as required or requested

 

KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

  • 2+ years in social media planning, management and execution.
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Excellent knowledge of social media platforms, digital marketing reporting tools, and analytics.
  • Strong copy writing skills – for both short & long form copy - with the ability to tailor unique voices for various brands
  • A collaborative working style.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
  • A good eye for design, and knowledge of design best practices.
  • Detail-oriented, a team-player and effective in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, marketing-driven environment
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills at all levels, with the ability to collaborate with a cross-functional team
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to establish priorities with little direction in a fast-paced environment
  • A strong work ethic, with the ability to work in a dynamic and demanding work environment to meet critical deadlines and complete projects with minimal supervision
  • Communicates clearly up and downstream
  • Willingness and flexibility to accommodate scheduling based on business needs.
  • Must be able to work onsite 5 days per week

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to perform the essential job functions consistent safely and successfully with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state, and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
  • Ability to stand for prolong periods of time and climb steps regularly.
  • Ability to physically maneuver through work areas; bend, lift, carry, reach/extend arms, and hands above shoulder height frequently, or otherwise move in a constantly changing environment.

 

COMPENSATION

The base pay range for this position is $70,000.00-$90,000.00 annually. The determination of what a specific employee in this job classification is paid within the range depends on a number of factors, including, but not limited to, prior employment history/job-related knowledge, qualifications and skills, etc.
