Job Profile: Team Member

A team member of elephant + vine’s job is to provide high-quality, craveable, 100% plant-based food in a hospitable and inclusive environment. As the primary contact point with our guests, it is critical each team member provides the best experience possible through fast, friendly, and efficient service.

Essential  Functions

  • Prepare all e+v’s dishes (handhelds, bowls, salads, etc.) while executing the recipe to e+v standards. Work in cross-functional positions, capable of comfortably working all stations.
  • Comply with health, safety, and sanitation standards for food, cleanliness and safety; follows all proper food safety protocols and practices
  • Comply with store safety standards; follow all e+v policies and procedures.   
  • Engage in friendly conversation with customers in line, making them feel welcomed and special. Strong verbal communication skills, comfortable talking with customers.
  • Work with a purpose and a sense of urgency; work as a teamplayer. 
  • Operate the cash register and follow proper cash handling procedures. 
  • Restock line, cooler, perishables, as well as all non-perishables for FOH.  
  • Maintain restaurant cleanliness and ensure all surfaces are clean and sanitized including, but not limited to: tables, counters, chairs, floors, bathrooms, etc.
  • An eagerness and desire to succeed, grow, and learn as part of an incredible team while also helping to educate our surrounding communities to the benefits and deliciousness of plant-based eating. 
  • A desire to be a part of changing the world for the better through plant-based eating!
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and with a sense of urgency.

Experience & Education

  • Minimum Education Requirements: High School degree or equivalent.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Proper Food and Sanitation Certifications as dictated by local and regional requirements. 

Compensation Details

Compensation: Hourly (Based on Experience) plus tips
