Hey there, we've got an exciting opportunity at one of Chicago's oldest bars - Backstory Tavern. We first opened our doors way back in 1934 and after a major renovation, we're open!
We're looking for top-notch Bartendars to help lead us into the next chapter. We are looking for full-time and part-time bartenders who are comfortable enough to handle high volume crowds, as well as build rapport with local clientele on a weekday nights.
Must be comfortable tending bar, as well as serving tables on nights where a server is unavailable.
Must be attentive to guests and have a great attention to detail.
Must be able to multitask.
Must have a sense of urgency.
Must have BASSET AND ServSafe, or willing to obtain both within 30 days of hire.
Knowledge of craft beer, craft cocktails, and food service a plus!
Current shifts available are for AM/PM. You'll be working closely with our bartender team. Part of the fun will be putting together a creative drink menu that keeps our customers coming back for more.
Helping with inventory, supporting special events, and ensuring safety compliance are also key responsibilities. It's important that you can juggle it all while maintaining a professional environment.
We have a diverse crew here, so you'll need to be comfortable working with all types of personalities.
