Beefbar, a premier upscale restaurant, is seeking an experienced and passionate Evening Pastry Cook to join our team for the 2pm - 10pm shift. This full-time position plays a vital role in preparing delectable pastry items and maintaining our high standards of quality and service during the evening hours.
Responsibilities Include but are not limited to:
- Prepare pastry menu items from start to finish for evening service, including preparation of ingredients, cooking, and plating
- Assist with basic prep duties as directed by the Pastry Chef for evening service
- Maintain knowledge of products, ingredients, allergens, and sourcing
- Ensure proper storage and sanitation standards in all kitchen areas during evening shifts
- Collaborate with the Pastry Chef and other front and back of house evening teams
- Complete evening shift opening and closing side work checklists daily
- Comply with the Department of Health and workplace safety regulations
- Perform other duties as assigned by management during evening shifts
Requirements:
- 2+ years of experience in an upscale, high-volume restaurant environment, preferably evening shifts
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to lift, move, and carry heavy boxes (at least 50 lbs)
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills
- Knowledge of BeefBar brand, culture, and products
- Polished personal presentation and grooming per company standards
