We are looking for a
talented Barista for the weekends.
Schedule:
- Saturday 10:30 am - 3:00 pm approx.
- Sunday 10:30 am - 4:00 pm approx.
Compensation:
$30 per hour NO TIP (we are a no tipping restaurant)
As compensation for the services provided, the Employee will be paid a wage of $30 per hour. The Compensation is a gross amount that is subject to all local, State, Federal, and any other taxes and deductions as prescribed by law. Payment shall be distributed to the Employee on a weekly basis.

WHO YOU ARE:
The Barista will utilize their skills, experience, and talents to excel in all duties of the position. This includes bartending, preparing a variety of coffee and espresso drinks such as cappuccinos, lattes, and macchiatos, as well as crafting and garnishing spritzes. Additionally, the Barista will demonstrate knowledge of wine and its service, handle beverage and dessert serving, and be prepared to assist as a waiter when needed.

As a Barista, the individual will be responsible for a wide range of tasks which shall involve the daily operations during designated shifts and ensure that our customers receive outstanding service and must possess certain skills and qualities to excel in the role. Here's a comprehensive list of the responsibilities and qualifications for the position.
Responsibilities:
- Pre-Opening Checks: Arrive before the restaurant opens to inspect and ensure the bar and coffee station area is clean, well-maintained, and properly stocked up for the shift.
- Facility and Equipment Check: Inspect all refrigerators, coffee machine, dishwasher, and report any issues to the manager promptly, making sure tables, floors, and bars are clean and sanitized.
- Serving and Bartending: be ready to serve tables, run plates and orders and bartending as required including bartending, prepare coffee and espresso drinks such as cappuccino, latte, macchiato ecc.
- Beverage and Stock Management: Check that all drinks, including wines, are well-stocked and properly refrigerated. Ensure the coffee machine is clean and ready for use.
- POS and Guest Service: Verify that the Point of Sale system is functioning correctly and ready for use. Be prepared to welcome guests and coordinate the waitstaff, taking orders and serving, including making coffees, drinks, and serving desserts.
- Menu and Wine Knowledge: Possess an extensive knowledge of the restaurant's menu items and wine list to provide recommendations and answer customer inquiries.
- Branding and Philosophy: Be well-versed in the history and philosophy of the restaurant's brand, ensuring it is reflected in all aspects of service.
- Policy Enforcement: Enforce restaurant policies with kindness and common sense.
- Table Reset: When necessary, contribute to clean and reset tables promptly after customers leave, ensuring they are ready for the next guests.
- Issue Resolution: Handle customer complaints and disputes among employees in a professional and effective manner.
- Team Coaching: Provide guidance and coaching to team members and new staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.

Qualifications and Skills:
- Previous experience with a professional espresso machine, making espresso, macchiato, cappuccino and all the coffees (LATTE ART).
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail to manage various tasks effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for dealing with guests, staff, and management.
- In-depth knowledge of Italian cuisine, coffee and culture is an advantage.
