Located in the heart of historic downtown Healdsburg, Little Saint is a vibrant meeting place where guests are invited to connect over food, music, art and conversation. Inside our 10,000-square-foot space, Little Saint offers up a full-service farm-forward restaurant, cafe and wine shop with a focus on plant-based cuisine. The building is home to exciting live music and thought-provoking conversations, as well as a series of film screenings and performances to benefit local artists and our farming community.



We are hiring a skilled Baker/Pastry Cook to join our growing Little Saint team! Under the supervision of the Executive Pastry Chef, the Baker/Pastry Cook focuses on daily culinary preparation and cooking for service.  As the Baker you will be expected to craft a variety of high-quality vegan baked goods, bread, pastries and desserts using traditional and modern techniques and the best ingredients. The ideal candidate will have a passion for baking, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to maintain the highest standards of quality and presentation. The position will occasionally be in contact with guests and to provide sincere hospitality and create a warm environment for the guest.



  • Ability to gain knowledge of Little Saint's baked goods offerings
  • Prepare and bake in-house a variety of bread, pastries, and other baked goods according to the day’s production schedule
  • AM availability for prepping and baking during scheduled shifts
  • Baking and commercial kitchen math skills required
  • Work cohesively within the assigned section of the kitchen and liaising with the executive and sous chefs to ensure a successful working environment.
  • Safely operate baking equipment within Company Policies and Procedures
  • Prepare ingredients and handling mise en place, safely utilizing kitchen equipment.
  • Cook and prepare dishes and menu items according to quality standards.
  • Develop new recipes for seasonal menus, as needed.
  • Occasionally interact with customers in a kind, positive and warm manner.
  • Monitor the stock of mise en place, ingredients and inventory.
  • Ensure their section of the kitchen adheres to safety and health regulations.
  • Onboard and train staff members.


  • Minimum 3+ years of baking experience in a fine dining culinary or kitchen setting.
  • Knowledge and application of traditional and modern baking techniques
  • Commitment to service quality, excellence, and sincere hospitality.
  • Self-motivated and highly organized, with the ability to self-manage multiple priorities simultaneously in a timely manner.
  • Proven communication skills.
  • Ability to read and speak English fluently.
  • Ability to work in a standing position for long periods of time, and frequently lift up to 50 pounds.
  • The ability to stand, walk, climb stairs, stoop, bend, reach with hands and arms.
  • Flexibility with a schedule that includes evenings, holidays and extended hours.
