As lead server, you are foremost responsible for cooperating with the management team, ensuring standards are held to those of Chef and our Head Sommelier. 

This is a full time position, which requires flexible schedule availability, including nights and weekends. Maison Sun is currently open Wednesday - Sunday. We are closed for Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, and Christmas Day.

Compensation

The rate for this position is $10 per hour plus gratuities. Gratuities for this position average $800-$1000 weekly.

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

• Must have 2 years + experience in a fast paced NYC restaurant.
• Experience working with Resy and Tock is preferred.
• Must be knowledgeable of Industry critics & awards.
• Must have full schedule availability
• Must be able to take constructive criticism and work well in a team dynamic.
• Greet incoming guests with a warm, noticeably appreciative demeanor, genuine smile, and eye contact.

SERVICE RESPONSIBILITIES

• Be warm, knowledgeable and noticeably appreciative.
• Accommodate guests by making each individual feel welcome.
• Act professionally and always maintain composure.
• Identify and report problems to management immediately.
• Be aware of service flow, dining timing, and adjust for each guest’s individual needs.
• Know how to properly mark and clear a table.
• Polish glassware.
• Implement and follow steps of service.
