RICH TABLE A restaurant in the heart of Hayes Valley, is seeking a Sous Chef to join our talented team. We focus on using seasonal and local ingredients from our amazing farmers in Northern California. It's an exciting and dynamic restaurant that is inspired by experiences from all over the world. With daily inspiration and menu changes, we are looking for talented and passionate people who want to push themselves to become the best cook possible. Job description:

This is a full-time position with competitive wages. Qualified candidates will have a minimum of 3 years of experience working in fast paced kitchen environment. Flexibility, positive disposition, sense of urgency, impeccable attention to detail and a sincere hospitable nature are all qualities candidates must possess. This is not a remote position. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Documenting each morning what the Head Chefs require before they prepare the day’s dishes
  • Cleaning and organizing the food preparation area for the Head Chef
  • Delivering the ingredients that the Head Chef needs to prepare to the food preparation area
  • Ensuring the Line and Prep Cooks prepare the dishes according to the Head Chef’s specifications and standards
  • Training new kitchen employees on the restaurant’s standards and regulations
  • Addressing and resolving diners’ and clients’ complaints quickly
  • Monitoring the kitchen area and the staff to ensure sanitation standards are maintained
  • Ensuring all food products to be prepared are not expired

Compensation Details

Compensation: Salary ($70,000.00 - $80,000.00)
