Pig and Khao is hiring a Chef de Cusine!
Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- Managing a staff of 10 to 15 cooks
- Hiring and training BOH staff
- Ordering and maintaining food costs
- Creating prep lists for the staff
- Working with Chef Leah Cohen create specials and new menu items
- Expediting
- Maintaining professional standards
- Working clean, efficiently, and with respect for ingredients
- Ensure that all dishes are consistently prepared and served according to the restaurant's recipes, portioning, cooking and service standards
- Keeping equipment clean and in excellent working condition
- Maintaining a positive work environment via effective, professional communication with other employees and managers
Requirements:
- Experience working in a professional kitchen as a Sous Chef for a minimum of 2 year
- Extensive knowledge of culinary techniques, procedures and equipment
- Ability to think quickly and multi-task in a fast paced environment
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbal and written
