We're hiring passionate Culinary Team Members for Mei Mei.

What You'll Do:

  • Cook & Create: Assist in preparing a variety of Taiwanese dishes under the guidance of our skilled chefs, learning the nuances of authentic Taiwanese-style cooking.
  • Maintain Quality: Help ensure that every dish served meets our high standards of quality and authenticity, from the freshness of ingredients to the precision of presentation.
  • Efficient Operations: Contribute to a smooth-running kitchen by maintaining a clean and organized work environment and adhering to health and safety regulations.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with kitchen and service staff to ensure a seamless dining experience for our guests, fostering a spirit of teamwork and respect.
  • Continuous Learning: Engage in ongoing training and development opportunities to grow your culinary skills and knowledge of Taiwanese cuisine.

Chef-owner Ho learned the restaurant trade through his family. He was born in Taiwan and grew up in Houston, Texas, helping his dad out at his restaurant when he was just a kid. His family moved to Allentown and set up a few restaurants there under Ho Ho Incorporated. Ho eventually took over the business in 2014 and is now expanding to Philly.

Ho calls his menu at Mei Mei “progressive Asian” and says he’s using modern techniques and ingredients for traditional dishes. It has something of an Asian fusion vibe with options like miso-crusted sea bass, miso caesar salad, rolled scallion pancakes with braised pork belly, Peking duck bao, Korean-style fried chicken wings, Taiwanese-style Hunan beef, and fried rice with Taiwanese sausage.
