Reports To: Cafe Manager
We are seeking a friendly, experienced, and enthusiastic Barista to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for coffee, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. As a Barista, you will play a key role in creating exceptional coffee and food experiences for our customers.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and Serve Beverages:
Craft high-quality espresso-based drinks, including lattes, cappuccinos, macchiatos, and more.
Brew a variety of coffee and tea beverages according to established recipes.
Ensure consistency in taste, quality, and presentation of all drinks.
Customer Service:
Smile and welcome customers as they enter.
Greet and interact with customers in a friendly and professional manner.
Take customer orders accurately and efficiently.
Provide information about menu items, including ingredients and potential allergens.
Handle customer complaints and inquiries promptly and courteously.
Think outside the box and present ideas to cafe manager.
Look for innovate ways to increase processes.
Food Preparation:
Assist in the preparation of light meals, sandwiches, and baked goods.
Ensure food items are fresh, properly stored, and presented attractively.
Maintain Cleanliness:
Keep the coffee bar, equipment, and seating areas clean and organized.
Follow health and safety regulations, including proper sanitation practices.
Perform regular cleaning tasks, such as wiping counters, sweeping floors, and washing dishes.
Inventory and Stock Management:
Monitor and restock supplies, including coffee beans, milk, syrups, and other ingredients.
Assist with inventory checks and notify the manager of low stock levels.
Team Collaboration:
Work cooperatively with other team members to ensure efficient service and a positive work environment.
Participate in training sessions and team meetings as required.
Qualifications:
Previous experience as a Barista or in a similar role is preferred.
Strong knowledge of coffee and espresso preparation techniques.
Food Handlers License A MUST.
Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Basic math skills for cash handling and order processing.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and a passion for food and beverage service.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand for extended periods.
Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds.
Ability to perform repetitive tasks, such as grinding coffee and operating espresso machines.
