Currently seeking out a Kitchen Manager for our North Shore location!
The Kitchen Manager is responsible for the overall operations for the back of the house and the kitchen area of the restaurant. Kitchen managers assist in hiring staff, manage staff, purchase food and complete monthly inventory, and make sure everyone is trained on proper food preparation and kitchen safety techniques.
In addition, kitchen managers ensure that the company’s standards are upheld: the food looks good and is cooked properly, the proportions are correct, and served within our time standards. The kitchen manager is expected to be the example for the kitchen, demonstrating proper ettiquite while working.
Reports to: Director of Food & Beverage
The Kitchen Manager's Responsibilities Include:
- Ensure the quality and safety of food
- Constant communication and awareness.
- Loook the part, and enforce dress code.
- Cleanliness of the kitchen, keeping it organized, and maintained
- Maintain equipment and utensils notify if something needs repair.
- Promote teamwork and create a great customer experience
- Accomplishes goals set by the chef, asks questions.
- Control food waste and monitor inventory levels
- Resolves food quality issues
- Develop a strong team dynamic between BOH and FOH
- Ensuring the kitchen is properly cleaned and organized at all times.
- Capable of correcting poor performance from BOH staff
- Uphold the company’s standards
- Lead by example
- Communication with FOH MOD on a daily basics
- Communicate any concerns to the corporate chef, and or MOD
Requirements, Skills and Qualifications:
- Proficient in English and/or Spanish
- Ability to stand on your feet for several hours
- Ability to lift at least 50 pounds
- Experience working as a line cook or prep cook
- Must comply with all sanitation procedures
- Teamwork Oriented and food driven
