Job Details
We are Virginia's Darling, We are a wine bar & bistro in Old Town, Alexandria. Our menu is an eclectic mix of New American small plates. Our wine list is approachable & focused on female wine-makers. Our cocktails are refreshing & distinct. Our environment is decidedly laid back.

The ideal candidate has experience in multiple line positions and can help any station out during high stress times, possesses excellent knife skills, executes prep work quickly and according to recipe, and has a strong commitment to putting good food on plates. As a prep and line cook, you will play a crucial role in creating a memorable experience for our guests, ensuring their satisfaction, and contributing to the overall success of the restaurant.

- We are currently closed Sundays & Mondays to allow for two days off in a row for all staff members.

What you bring:
- 1-2 years experience in upscale dining. 
- Speed, accuracy, control, and excellent multi-tasting
- Ability to complete daily prep lists and set/organize kitchen for daily service
- Run Expo during service hours. 
- Good knife skills, ability to learn quickly, consistent execution of recipes.
- Train kitchen staff
- Ensure kitchen areas are clean and well-organized
- Ensure ingredients, techniques and procedures are executed to the highest standard
- Assist with inventory and ordering as needed. 
- Maintains communication for equipment issues and maintenance needs
- Works closely with the chef/owner and restaurant manager to provide efficient, seamless, and quality service with high guest satisfaction. 
- Open availability or flexible to work out a set schedule. 
- Ability to stand for the duration of your shift & ability to lift 50+ lbs 

Pay is $21 per hour.
