The Crocodile Floor manager is passionate and driven by guest experience, team confidence, and relentlessly holding up the standards of our business.
Sharing great enthusiasm with our team and guests the floor manager must demonstrate leadership at all times. Must be detail oriented.
Job Responsibilities and Essential Functions● Fosters an environment of generosity, focus, kindness, and discipline amongst all staff
● Has the drive to know the steps and service of every position on the floor and could jump
in and not only work any of the positions but also expertly train any new member to the
team
● Anticipates both guests and floor staff needs
● Works in close collaboration with the GM, AGM and the chefs to assure service
● Acting as a point of contact for guests and regulars, developing repeat and return customers,
identifying individuals who are neighbors or just diners / drinkers possessing a sensibility
rewarded by what we offer and rewarding to serve in our space.
● Has a basic knowledge of wine and works with GM and Head Sommelier to ensure focus on
training and education to boost wine sales
● Submit cash drops and cash tips at close of shift accurately
● Draft end of shift closing reports
● Inform comanagers and ownership of the details of service, staff performance, guest
experience, repairs and maintenance issues and a general take on the tone of service
● Has a close working relationship with the host team and is constantly engaged with the
front door
● Is obsessive with sanitary procedures, dining room cleanliness, proper uniforms, food
handling and general maintenance of the dining room that are up to and beyond that of
the Department of Health
● Ensure positive guest service in all areas, responds to complaints, taking any and all
appropriate actions to turn dissatisfied guests into return guests
● Is physically present on the floor
● Participates and oversees the onboarding and training of new team members
● Must be flexible with work day or night schedules
● Partners with Management and HR to enforce disciplinary action when needed, with a
focus on positive and constructive feedback
● Provides the team with consistent positive guidance and support
● As a management team we are “on call” for the restaurant at all times, responsible in
ensuring day-to-day operations run smoothly at all times
