Create wine lists

Sommeliers build and maintain wine lists that meet the needs of the establishment. They may also write wine descriptions.
Select wines

Sommeliers recommend wines to patrons based on their taste, budget, food, and wine pairing preferences. They may also suggest wines to pair with food.
Manage stock

Sommeliers are responsible for ordering wines and maintaining the wine cellar.
Provide wine service

Sommeliers ensure that wine is served properly.
Train staff

Sommeliers educate staff on wine and other beverages through wine tastings, hosting winery tours, and teaching wine courses.
