Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Baker to join our team at Puffy Cakes. As a Baker, you will be responsible for preparing and baking a variety of delicious baked desserts. If you have a passion for culinary arts and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, we would love to hear from you.
Duties:
- Prepare and bake a range of baked goods, including our signature Japanese-style cheesecake and a variety of tarts and other desserts
- Measure and mix ingredients according to recipes
- Operate and maintain baking equipment
- Decorate and present baked goods in an appealing manner
- Ensure quality and consistency in all baked products
-Maintain inventory of baking ingredients and supplies, ensuring proper stock levels at all times
-Collaborate with other team members to develop new recipes and menu items, as well as improve existing ones
-Provide excellent customer service by assisting with customer inquiries and fulfilling special orders as needed
- Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Baker, Pastry Chef, or in a similar role
- Knowledge of food handling and preparation techniques
- Strong understanding of culinary arts and baking principles
- Ability to follow recipes accurately
- Proficient in using kitchen tools, including knives and mixers
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills
- Flexibility to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays as needed
