Position Overview:

Responsibilities:

Lead and manage a small kitchen team to ensure smooth and efficient operations.

Oversee menu planning, recipe development, and food preparation, adhering to quality and presentation standards.

Participate in creation of seasonal menus that highlight fresh, local ingredients and culinary creativity as it aligns with Satchels established brand.

Manage inventory, ordering, and kitchen expenses to optimize cost control and minimize waste.

Train, mentor, and motivate kitchen staff, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.

Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation regulations at all times.

Collaborate with front-of-house staff to provide exceptional guest service, and resolve any kitchen-related issues promptly.

Participate in restaurant related events as needed.
Qualifications:

3-5 years of experience in a culinary leadership role, preferably in a similar restaurant environment.

Strong culinary skills with a passion for simple, rustic, intentional cuisine and creativity in menu development.

Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, tight-knit environment and manage multiple priorities.

Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices.

Culinary degree or certification is a plus.
