LG's Bar and Kitchen is a modern Irish American sports bar in the heart of Old Town, Chicago. We use the finest local ingredients for our culinary creations and carry a diverse selection of craft beers and cocktails, paying particular attention to our Irish roots. Job details include preparing food items and ingredients needed for prescribed menu items and in-house recipes, receiving food deliveries, stocking, inventory, and must be able to work efficiently in a high-volume and fast-paced environment. Line Cook must be a team player and maintain good relationships with fellow employees, management, and guests.
Roles and Responsibilities include and are not limited to:
- Available to work weeknights and weekends with flexible A.M. and P.M. scheduling
- Safely use all necessary tools and equipment, including knives
- Ability to multi-task calmly and collectively in a busy environment
- Frequently lift and/or move up to 25-50 lbs
- Effectively communicate in written and spoken language
- Maintain good standing with food and safety certifications and comply with all safety and sanitation guideline and procedures
- Understand and follow food allergy procedures and special orders
Line Cook experience in a high-volume and fast-paced environment is a plus.
