Line Cook/Prep Cook is responsible for every aspect of preparing high-quality dishes according to menu specifications, ensuring adherence to food safety standards, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace. Line cook reports to the Sous Chef.
Daily expectations include but not limited to:
- Prepare and cook menu items in accordance with recipes and specifications.
- Set up and stock stations with necessary supplies.
- Ensure that food preparation and cooking areas are clean and sanitized.
- Monitor inventory levels and replenish ingredients as needed.
- Collaborate with kitchen team members to coordinate food orders.
- Follow proper food handling procedures and safety protocols.
- Adhere to portion control guidelines to minimize waste and maintain cost efficiency.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including proper storage of food, utensils, and equipment.
- Assist with the cleaning and maintenance of kitchen equipment as needed.
- Follow all company policies and procedures, including those related to food safety and sanitation.
- Communicate effectively with team members and management to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
- Assist with training new kitchen staff members as required.
Requirements
- Previous experience working as a Line Cook or in a similar role preferred.
- Knowledge of cooking techniques, food preparation, and presentation.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to follow instructions and recipes accurately.
- Familiarity with food safety regulations and sanitation practices.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to stand long periods of time and lift up to 25 pounds
**Legal authorization to work in USA is a must**
